Integrate Wonderful Payments into your online checkout with our public API. This short article will provide all the information you need to start taking Open Banking payments, slash costs and benefit from instant settlement.
Priced at just £9.99 per month (plus VAT), access to our Payments API allows you to accept instant bank payments from your online checkout. Wonderful can sit alongside other payment methods (such as debit and credit cards, BNPL services or Paypal), but you'll need experience of working with APIs to complete the installation. Documentation is provided.
- The first step is to check your business bank is supported This is required to receive payments. Customer transactions are settled in real time, so the money is in your business account the moment your customer approves the payment.
- Once you've confirmed we have integrated your bank, it's time to get you on board. To do this, start a free trial with Wonderful and you'll be invited to download our app, One.
- Once you have linked your bank account, using the One app, you're ready to complete the API installation.
- The final step is to contact our support team to obtain your API key.
Installation of the API and a current subscription to our Small Business plan is all that is required. Each is charged at £9.99 per month (plus VAT), giving you 1,000 monthly transactions for just £19.98 (plus VAT). There are no percentage charges and any transactions outside the inclusive bundle are charged at just 1p / transaction.

For those of you with javascript based applications, our pre-built Node package provides an out of the box wrapper for our public API. Instead of writing out your API calls by hand, the Wonderful Client object comes with a series of convenient methods, such as payment creation, available in just a few lines of code.
